| Hanamichi Sakuragi enter the court with a big smile on his face. Everyone look at him with amazement to his new look. It's Sakuragi having a new hair cut. And a new weapon carry. At the start of the game, a loud applause surrounded the court when Sakuragi made a big slamdunk! Even his teamates can't even recognize if his really the who made that big slamdunk. But in a corner, Akagi just smiled, and whispered," He's the new Sakuragi now!" The whole game was filled with big applause and shouting the name of "Sakuragi!". The Ryonan team felt that there was a heavy stone connecting their feet when everytime they make a move. Sakuragi was always their, showing his big bocks, slamdunk and even a three point shots! There are still a time for the Ryonan team to come back after the amazing play of Sakuragi. But they are now in a deep thought and in so much tireness. Will be able the Ryonan team stop |

| Sakuragi's new hair do causes a commotion in a train and in school, eliciting comments that he looks scarier than before. To the Gundan and Hotta's gang, however, it is a source of hearty laughs. Aouta even mistakes the haircut as a sign that Sakuragi is now planning to join the judo club. Nothing could be further than the truth as Sakuragi is more determined to practice and make amends for his mistake at the Kainan game. Anzai arrives and advises Akagi to rest his ankle, and requests that he assemble the team. The coach immediately commends Sakuragi's hair, even going so far as to rub his head, but Sakuragi takes offense. In an uncharacteristic move, Akagi actually teases Sakuragi that he looks a little more like an athlete although he still looks funny, to which Sakuragi rebuts that Akagi's hair is more funny-looking than his. As it turns out, Anzai is planning a little game between the Seniors/Sophomores vs. the Freshmen. Akagi, given his injured ankle, is ordered to watch in the sidelines, while Mitsui, to handicap the Seniors team, referees. Saying that it is a means for them to build up stamina, Sakuragi uses Anzai's explanation to make snide remarks directed at Rukawa, who says simply "I ignore you." Being in the same Freshman team, Rukawa tells the redhead not to get in his way while Sakuragi tells his rival not to give up even if he gets very tired. This sets off a glaring match, which has their teammates begging for them to work together. As the game commences, Sakuragi shows how much he has improved in three months time. However, Anzai has a different agenda in mind for setting up the game. Wanting Sakuragi to act as a back up center for Akagi, his intention is to have Sakuragi recover confidence in himself and to reveal what still needs to be improved in his skills. Anzai then tells Mitsui to sub for Kakuta as center. Sure enough, Mitsui reveals Sakuragi's weak points one by one -- 1) his tendency to pass carelessly when blocked by an opponent he could not shake off; 2) that he only knows lay-up and dunk shooting; and 3) his tendency to miss easy shots, despite his greater height over Mitsui. Mitsui yells at Sakuragi what to do, but the redhead is already in a state of panic and frustration. Akagi could only stand and admire Mitsui's astuteness and skill in blocking Sakuragi that he comments that the former MVP has a great sense of basketball. In the last minute of the game, Rukawa grabs the ball and attempts a fast break. As he nears the goal, he passes to Sakuragi, believing that the redhead would return the ball to him. However, Sakuragi smirks and says "Nice assist" and leaps to dunk the ball, with a very furious Rukawa jumping as well. There is a loud crash. Akagi is then shown saying sagely that in the next 3 days, Sakuragi should practice his shooting. His words go ignored, though, because Sakuragi and Rukawa were both hanging from the hoop like monkeys, clobbering each other. |
